New Horizon Counseling Center’s “The Wellness Place” School Based Mental Health (SBMH) satellite clinics are an on-site behavioral health center within a public school that provides accessible behavioral health services to students, regardless of their insurance or immigration status.
Our SBMH clinics are designed to eliminate barriers to care by bringing our services directly to students with familiar faces in a familiar environment.

Individual and family therapies provided by licensed social workers

Crisis intervention and emergency risk assessments

Consultation and collaboration with teachers, guidance counselors and other school staff to ensure continuity of support

Psychiatric evaluations and medication management are available for those students who may require them

Referral for non-student family members who may also benefit from behavioral health/substance use services
Parents and legal guardians of students in these schools can contact us directly, or work with school administration to facilitate services.
