Addiction Recovery Programs

New Horizon Counseling Center’s Addiction Recovery programs provide treatment and support for adolescents and adults whose lives are affected by alcohol, drugs, or other substance use concerns. Our programs are licensed by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) and provide a broad range of services based on each person’s needs, strengths, choices, and goals.

We understand that substance use can affect many areas of life, including emotional and physical health, relationships, family life, school, work, housing, and overall stability. Because mental health and substance use concerns can occur together, our addiction specialists work with psychiatrists, licensed clinicians, and other behavioral health professionals to provide coordinated care and support for the whole person.

Care begins with an evaluation to understand what matters to each person, the challenges they may be facing, and the goals they want to reach. Together, the individual and treatment team develop a personalized plan that may include therapy, medications, recovery support, education, and other services. We use evidence-based practices to help people reduce risks, build on their strengths, prevent relapse, strengthen relationships, and work toward lasting recovery and improved quality of life.

Our adolescent services support young people ages 13–18 who are using or experimenting with alcohol or drugs. We work with each young person to understand their needs and goals, make healthier choices, reduce risks, and build skills for the future. Families can also receive education and support to better understand substance use and support their loved one’s recovery.
